Elenie Chung (钟凯琴) is a filmmaker, born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago. She grew up with a pet turtle, outside Trinidad’s capital, with a bedroom view of the Caribbean Sea squeezed between two terraced houses.
Elenie is interested in using female relationships as a method of illustrating cultural disconnection and ancestral amnesia. Her films have screened in international festivals and art exhibitions. Occasionally she writes (stay tuned) and curates.
Elenie is currently based in Los Angeles, CA. Her current bedroom view is of a driveway.
