She grew up with a pet turtle, outside Trinidad\u2019s capital, with a bedroom view of the Caribbean Sea squeezed between two terraced houses. Her narrative and documentary films use interpersonal relationships to convey ideas about migration, ancestral amnesia, and the Chinese diasporic experience in a globalised world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elenie is currently based in Los Angeles, CA.
